About Us (How We Got Here)
We met at Napoleons in Warrenton, VA on June 1st, 1990. It was a blind date, set up by our mutual friends. We were both immediately drawn to each other, and we spent the whole night dancing, talking, and laughing. We knew we had found something special. We started dating, and we quickly fell in love. We were married on October 19th, 1991, and we’ve been together ever since. We’ve had our ups and downs, but our love has only grown stronger. We’ve raised three beautiful daughters together, and we’re so proud of the women they’ve become. They’re all grown now and we love spending time with them and our grandchildren. we found our love for wine together while going to the different Virginia wineries with friends and family. We learned so much from the places we visited and decided we wanted to make our wine. We took a class at Bacchus Winery in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Hal was a great teacher, and we absolutely loved the experience. We loved the experience so much, and as you can see, we continue to make wine today, not just for us, but for our family and friends.
We hope you enjoy this journey as much as we do. And the next time you open a bottle, don’t forget to toast the year we got married, 1991.
